
On Friday 27th October 2017 the National Transport Authority announced new fares for Luas and other public transport services. Most of the new Luas fares are due to come into effect on Friday 1st December 2017.
The National Transport Authority also announced the introduction of a Luas Cross City Introductory Luas Leap Card Off Peak fare. These fares are due to be available from the opening of Luas Cross City for a period of 1 year. This fare costs €1 for an Adult or Student and €0.50 for a Child. This fare applies to travel between Parnell to the North, St. Stephen's Green to the South, Jervis to the West and Busáras / Connolly / George's Dock to the East. This fare is available during new Off Peak Hours introduced by NTA.
New Peak / Off Peak times introduced by NTA apply to Luas Leap Card Fares:
Mon – Fri First Tram – 7.00am = Leap Card Off Peak
Mon – Fri 7.00am – 10.00am = Leap Card Peak
Mon – Fri 10.00am – 4.00pm = Leap Card Off Peak
Mon – Fri 4.00pm – 7.00pm = Leap Card Peak
Mon – Fri 7.00pm – Last Tram = Leap Card Off Peak
Sat All Day = Leap Card Off Peak
Sun & Bk Hol All Day = Leap Card Off Peak
